I just got my hands on an m2. I'm very dissapointed. Is this what m15's feel like, other than being split?

What's so disappointing about it? Webwit is probably the best person to ask. From what I remember from the pictures that he posted up of the internals the construction very different; there's even some sticky tape in there.

There are two M15s on ebay at the moment.

The switches are heavier, bad keycap wobble, not solid. It feels like a cheap keyboard and a model M hooked up and squeezed this out the SDL port.

The Model M15 is somewhere in between. It shares the new production "thinking" and new keycaps, etc. with the M2, but the construction and case is more refined and solid. Still a cheap design though, although rock solid compared to the Cherry 5000.

Webwit, if you ever take it apart for any reason. Can you take some pictures?
