I'm particularly interested in the workings of the keyboard. Namely the wiring. Are you wiring your keyboards manually? Or hacking existing keyboards for parts/functionality. Every try a wireless or bluetooth setup. I ask because I have an idea, and would like to prototype it out.

You could get a bluetooth/other kind of wireless keyboard and wire its controller up to the keyboard you want to bluetoothify.
