So, i have parts for my first DIY KB coming soon, and im attempting to make a tool to open the switches for the new build. im trying to test the "tool" on my Corsair K70, but the top of the switch isn't budging. are they glued so you can open them or something?

The switches are mounted on a plate that doesn't allow the switch to open. You need to desolder and remove the switch to test the tool.
Most custom plates (Phantom included) have cutouts that allow switch top removal.
