Hello,

Does any of you have any information on the keyboard that the Olivetti M15 portable uses? The computer is a 1987 model and it was built in Japan.
All I know regarding the keyboard is that it connects to the unit through a RJ-11 phone connector.
Also, I absolutely love that layout.

But it can be a nice rubber dome, some rubber domes are famous and I don't mean Topre :P For example SUN Type5 keyboards are one of the best rubber dome keyboards. So if the price is right it might be worth getting it, it could end up as one really nice rubber dome, and compact also. The layout is very nice indeed.

Give domes a chance! Olivetti themselves had some great dome boards and I type this message on one of them :)

My prediction is that when the loud, clunky mechanical keyboards are ubiquitous, the children of today will yearn for the membrane and dome boards of their youth...when that happens I can say that I liked them before they were cool.

apart from the domes it's one really good looking keyboard.
