KBtalKing troubleshooting/repair

Hi guys

I have a KBtalKing keyboard that's behaving badly. I've emailed their support, but not received an answare (unsurprisingly since the keyboard has been discontinued).

I'm having issues with repeating characters. At first it was one specific character. Measuring the contacts on the switch didn't reveal anything. Found a little liquid in the keyboard (could be related/could be not) in the vicinity of the key. Let keyboard dry for a few days. For a couple of days the keyboard seemed to work again, but now it's a different character repeating.

I don't know anything about troubleshooting keyboard, so I write here to get some tips. I'm not afraid of dismantling the keyboard. I'm not afraid to use a soldering iron. And I have an oscilloscope.

I just don't know where to start. It could be a mechanical problem, it could be electrical, it could be firmware... it could be anything, but I really like this keyboard, and I can't buy a new one, so I wan't to make an effort fixing it myself. I can't make it any more unusable than it is now anyway.

Thanks
Peter
