Is this switch beyond repair?

Fixing SMD components is a nightmare. I totally messed a pad trying to put together an ergodox.
How can I fix/clean this?

Easiest would be to just go for a through hole diode there. Assuming it is for a diode and that the SMD pads are connected to the holes next to them. One side I can see, the other not so much, too burned to tell from a low res photo.

I am guessing its the footprint for a diode?

It looks fixable , it looks as if the pad at the bottom was connected to that pin hole right next to it.

You should be able to bodge in a through hole diode or just a jumper across it.

First you need to clean it up, some PCB cleaner or IPA should do the trick , just be very careful, use some cotton buds and dab the pcb, don't rub or you will make it worse.

Once you have done this we need to replace the track with something. Depending on what was there you have several options.

You could solder a new SMD diode or whatever was there by hand but this is very tricky and there is not much pad left to do that.

best option would be to point to point solder a through hole diode across the pads to the right of the broken ones.

Use propper 60/40 solder and flux.
tin the pad and the leg first and then simply touch them together with some heat and BOOM done!
