Hey, so I've never had this before, and I need your advice.

The ADB cable I got for my Japanese AEKII is yellowed, can retrobright fix this? Never done a cable before. I would have to tape off the metal ends and wrap it with clingwrap.

I believe retr0brite does work with most cables, but could potentially rust out anything metal, so not sure that's worth risking. Personally would just get a different ADB cable. Original apple ones aren't very expensive I don't think. You can also use cheap S-Video cables too, but unlikely to be coiled if that is what you are going for.

Well, that's why I would tape off the metal ends completely with tape.

The issue for me is that trying to retrobright it would be very hard with the coils, it'll never turn out even. I guess i'll buy a new one. You can get a nice coiled ADB cable for $8 shipped on ebay. Ok then :?
