Don't know if simmilar thread exists, if yes than trash this one ;)
But it would be useful to have a list of switches categorized by how accurate they are, with providing feedback (actual click) in point of registering a key. Of course simplified one, we're not going to mesaure discrepancies in milisecond or anything

As a starting point and example.

Acutates way before click - Tai Hao APC White
Actuates slightly before click - SKCM White
Actuates at a time of click - Buckling Spring, Acer switch (white)
Actuates slightly after click - Futaba MA
Actuates way after click - have nothing here

Yes, this has been brought up before. I don't know where it is, though.

I posted a thread about this a while ago. I prefer switches that actuate exactly when they click but these aren't as common as you'd think.

I think a couple of your examples are not quite right. Futaba should actuate on click as it's the inversion of the plate spring that pushes the contacts together. The Acer switch does appear to actuate on click but the mechanism doesn't guarantee this - it has a click leaf much like Alps.

Good stuff. This thread can go to trash

Yeah it's pretty important part about switch design in my opinion too. APC went from "ok it's quite good" (while trying as is) to "nope, crap" (after connecting to pc)...
TBH I was considering putting futabas in the buckling spring family. But very slow deliberate press, does show slight (very slight) delay. On the plus side the button can't be actuated before the click.
As for Acer switch. Where to put it though? Before, after? ;)
