Hi, I recently bought a Topre MD10B0 with short throw Topre switches. It was for a great price but one of the stems cracked in shipping when the seller originally bought it. The seller suggested that I carefully put epoxy on the crack and that it should be enough support for the whole cap because of the angle that it is cracked at. If this is done carefully enough, minimal epoxy should be pushed to the top surface of the cap, but I highly doubt that it is going to be perfect.
Here are pictures of the crack and a MS paint of how the seller imagines that I should epoxy it

The stem can be removed from the slider and I have done so.
If you have any other ideas on what to do, if you think this is the best way to go about things, tips, etc., I would love to hear them. Thank you for your help!

Ouch, that's unfortunate
I've had luck with epoxy on stems before (when modding cherry mx caps lock stems)
But honestly, sellers are responsible for items getting to you safely. Return it to him/her and get a refund, then buy it again once they have done a perfect job with an epoxy fix preferably for less money than u paid the first time due to the condition its now in

I knew that I was getting a cap with a broken stem when I bought it and so I got it for really cheap. The stem was broken in shipping when the person that sold it to me originally bought it and he did not want to fix it himself.
