Tandy 3000 high pitched after restoration

I recently cleaned my Tandy 3000 with FLS 3rd gen linear switches and after I was done I noticed that the sound when typing became way more high pitched and didn't have that signature deep thocc those switches have

I cleaned the barrels and sliders in an ultrasonic cleaner and put some case foam in there just to experiment a bit. Other than that I didn't do anything.

Only possible explanation I have is that the plate doesn't push hard enough against the PCB or the other way around. I did tighten the screws quite thoroughly tho..

Does anyone have an idea how I could fix that?
