OK, I'm having a weird problem. Both keyboard and mouse work fine when i turn on the computer. However, if I for some reason have to restart Windows, keyboard stops working! Mouse, on the other hand, works fine. The only thing that helps is to unplug the keyboard and plug it back in. That or a complete shut down.
Happens with all my old keyboards on this particular PC regardless of connection type. I'm currently using it with the Blue Cube.
Any ideas?

I'm using the latest BIOS, PC is a self-built Core2Duo system w/ Intel P43 chipset.
The OS is irrelevant because the keyboard goes completely dead after a restart - can't even access BIOS.

Tried all the motherboard's different USB ports?Half-Saint wrote:I'm using the latest BIOS, PC is a self-built Core2Duo system w/ Intel P43 chipset.

I was building a Hackintosh from an Asus mobo recently and driving myself nuts at stage 0 until I figured this out. Nowhere in the docs is it said USB boot only works on the two red ports and none of the other dozen or so USB 2 and 3s. Trial and bloody minded error was all that caught it and got me up and running.
Last time I home built was ten years ago. You only had 2 USB ports then, so of course they worked. But times and chipsets change.
