Ducky Shine 2 PWM Noise

Hi Folks,

my Ducky produces a very high quiet sound if the backlight gets full powerd. with every stage of dimming it down, it becomes less noisy. is this a result of PWM-Dimming? any ideas how to fix it?

Here are some Pics from my PCB and the Location where this Sound comes from. Could it be the Clock Generator?

Have you updated the firmware to the latest version? I don't know about the Shine 2 specifically, but the Shine 3 got an update that made it less flickery.

there is still no firmware available for the Shine 2 :-/ The light doesnt flickers... it only produces this strange quiet sound. My head feels like the marsians @ Mars Attacks

I hear sounds from quite a lot of electronics. I didn't get anything from the Shine 3 (before or after firmware update) but it certainly improved the look of the lights when dimmed. Just guessing the matrix scanning is related to what you're hearing (as you said).
