Ericsson Information Systems AB was a Swedish manufacturer of personal computers and terminals.
It was founded in 1981 by merging two divisions of telecommunications equipment company L M Ericsson with Datasaab. It acquired office machine manufacturer Facit in 1983.
EIS was acquired from Ericsson by Finnish Nokia in 1988, merging with Nokia Information Systems to form Nokia Data. Nokia Data was purchased by British ICL in 1990-1991. ICL was later absorbed into Fujitsu-Siemens in 1999.
Products
The Facit brand was still being used for some products into at least 1984, for computers, typewriters and terminals.
Because of later cooperations and mergers, similar keyboards have been branded either Ericsson, Nokia or ICL.
