History

The Marquardt Two Fingers Typewriter Switch is a linear switch that was developed by the German electronics company Marquardt. According to Marquardt, this series was specifically developed for Olympia; no data remains on this product range.[1]

US patent 4653179A covers the manufacture of the contact module used in several Marquardt types including Series 6180.

Key feel

The keyfeel is similar to that of a Cherry MX Black, though it feels a bit stiffer and more wobbly.
