Sense method Membrane
Keycap mount Proprietary

NMB dome with slider is a type of membrane rubber dome switch with sliders with a proprietary keycap mount.

Description

These keyboards use discrete domes that are glued to the top membrane sheet. The dome colour varies between keyboards, and this characteristic has yet to be studied or explained. In most rubber dome keyboards, the domes are made from a medium opaque grey or translucent colourless material, and the use of brightly-coloured domes is unusual.

The keycap mount is proprietary; the slider snaps onto a horizontal bar inside the slider.

The specifications for the NMB RT-2200W cite the switch as an "Ultra Silent Membrane Keyswitch", and the keycaps are helpfully noted as being made of "Thermoplastic" with UL flammability rating 94 HB.[1]

Whether these specifications hold true for the entire series is not known.
