Omron are a major manufacturer of microswitches used in pointing devices.

The most popular microswitch series made by Omron is D2FS:

D2FS-F1-N2

1 - Actuator

  • None - Pin plunger
  • L - Hinge lever

2 - Terminals

  • None - PCB terminals (Straight)
  • -T - PCB terminals (Self-clinching)
  • -A - PCB terminals (Right-angled)
  • -A1 - PCB terminals (Left-angled)

Every microswitch in this series has 0.85N actuation force.

After Logitech noticed the problem with D2FC-F-7N (double-clicking) the company introduced -S series, with Omron D2FC-F-7N(20M), rated for 20 milion keypresses, this model is the highest currently produced by Omron and is recommended for switch replacements.
