WTB single GMK keycaps / ISO-De
Hey guys, this may be long shot but I'll try my best!
I am a die-hard ISO-DE user (OG cherry dyesub or DS-sets) and I want to tune the looks of my keyboard.
Using ISO-DE means limiting myself in terms of sets and colors, so I am searching single keycaps like ESC, Enter.
I am not interested in ...

I want YOU to build me a USB cable from an old coiled Cherry Din6 connector cable!
Hey guys,
as mentioned above.
I purchased an old "vintage" coiled Cherry cable because I read that you can simply cut the cord and swap the connectors.

Re: OG doubleshot 1,75 right shift - does it exist?
That's great! I am somewhat limited to ISO-DE and an want to build a Tada68, which has a 1,75 right shift. It's hard to find this size of keycap because most of the caps from like GMK doesn't fit the style of an OG set.
So I think I'll head over to the marketplace, maybe some nice guys can sell me ...

OG doubleshot 1,75 right shift - does it exist?
Hey there, quick question as above.
Does this keycap exist? I know there is the Cherry 1800 board. But is this keycap really DS or lasered / pad printed like some other keys on the bottom row?
Thanks for helping me!

Re: Possibility of modding a 5pin DIN connector to USB
Perfect picture, thanks!
The 5pin DIN connector has 5 wires.
Would it be easier to not use one wire (the thicker shielded black one) and just split the normal black one for the mini USB?
If not, can I just solder the normal black wire and the shielded black wire together to the corresponding pin ...

Re: Possibility of modding a 5pin DIN connector to USB
Thanks a lot for your input.
I don't want to completely build a new cable, I just want to rewire the existing old cable with new usb-connectors.
Do you know about some wiring diagrams? So that I can see which wire has to be attached to which usb-connector...

Possibility of modding a 5pin DIN connector to USB
Hello there,
I kinda like the coiled cables that come with some of the old Cherry boards.
I already found a guide about how to modify a 5pin DIN connector to PS/2. Is it possible to further modify the cable to
mini USB (for my 60%) - USB male (my PC)?

Unicomp definitely has quality issues with their key caps, legends are blurrier and often have problems with alignment. Supposedly brand-new key caps can have shine for some reason too.
That said, there are quality differences even between IBM/Lexmark-produced Model M key caps. Generally speaking ...

Buying a Model M german ISO Keycap Set - Unicomp the better option?
Hello there,
I am a proud owner of an IBM Model M from 1990, screw-modded by i$. The board is in an excellent shape. My problem is that the M has ANSI-layout. A wile ago, I switched back to german ISO because I can't get used to ANSI.

Hey there!
Recently I accuired an AEKII which is in near perfect condition (at least that's what I can see on the seller's pictures :D ).
The cables are included, but I think those are the normal ones for the ADB connection.

The 67gr tactile Zealios are just so much better than MX Browns - it is really hard to compare them.
In my opinion, the browns feel dirt-cheap (just like most of the cherry switches). The bump is barely noticable, the switch feels a bit like there's sand in it. The Zealio switch is buttery smooth ...

Hey there,
recently I discovered that I have some spare switches, springs and stems.
