What's that? No information in the net. Hi placa, do you know where I can buy those plastic dust covers I see on the pic? Hi, this in my head is a sort of more 80s/90s product If I could say that... Here are some places to buy. No endorsement is made for these brands https://www.pckeyboard.com/page...

Wow, that's quite the crusty beamer. On the bright side, you have all the keycaps! As long as the PCB and switch internals are intact I'm confident you can get it to 100% working condition. Aesthetics wise, I would go with the battle scarred finish as it already looks visually intriguing. I am prob...

Probs should have added the photo... The 2 together are from the same beamspring. The other one is selectric.

Re: Beamspring keycap’s mounting slot(oval and rectangle)

Hi, This may be a cheapening but I am not sure. If you notice the black keycap here has thinner cross supports, but has a heavy oval center. The white cap has the rectangle but also thicker cross supports. Those two keycaps are from the same keyboard. The other cap is not a beamspring cap, but a sel...

Hi, In terms of your aesthetics question. The best aesthetic you can do, is your own. Whatever your heart tells you. That is the correct decision. Otherwise. Impressive. Wow. A lot of work. I think you are up to it. If you need any help, anyone here is happy to help. above all you should make the ke...

This what I have used most of the time for the past couple of years, along with a large tall gel wrist rest. Regardless of opinions on whether it looks better, to me it feels better and easier to use without the top case shell. And since someone will ask, the green is a cut glass drawer pull which ...

Re: Any love for a customized Model F 122

Yep! Thanks for the pics SneakyRobb! IBM definitely could have intended for the numberpad to be arranged in the way I have pictured, but I haven't been able to find any documentation to confirm or deny that, so I was wondering if anyone else knew. Maybe the stabs were for a special function key for...

Hi, So I printed some miniatures I was going to send to snacksthecat, but they are at my parents house. They are self isolating with no symptoms. To be on the safeside I will wait for them to hopefully come out of the 14 days symptom free. I wont send the models until that time. They do exist though...

Re: IBM Model F AT Key Issues After Foam Change?

The wire stabilizers shouldnt affect anything, if theyre seated properly. IBM didnt skimp on engineering back in the day and they wouldnt design a key that bottoms out before it actuates. Try tipping the keyboard back so only the cable coming out of the rear of the keyboard is touching the ground o...

Hi, I think you are correct. I do notice that the newer ones are stiffer. Regardless I appreciate the recommendation. That is cool about the front door area. Hi. That makes sense and is cool. I know you said that the narrow border areas can be a bit of an issue sometimes, so such markers make sense.
