Hey all. I haven't been on DT much lately. But I recently remembered something from a while back.
When the Novatouch came out, it had its flaws. But since it was the only way to have Topre quality with cherry caps, people accepted it. But if I'm not mistaken, there was another method to use Topre boards with cherry caps in the making. I think it was the Topre equivalent of Gateron.
I know that this isn't much to go off of, but does anyone know what this is or if it's done yet?
Thx.

There are also some MX-compatible sliders in development.

Aka: "Nopre".
Even the NovaTouch isn't Topre-grade nice without a lot of modification. And its PCB is actually made by Topre. Possibly the domes too.
The NovaTouch is fairly nice with appropriate damping:

Nope.
Topre is smooth and solid. Those rings simply damp the already quite melodious topping out clack. It's a matter of taste.
I did cover this in my video: the HHKB is Topre factory damped Type-S, the Realforce is undamped, and the NovaTouches are before and after rings.
NovaTouch is rattly as shit. Those rings really help calm it down. It's a matter of fixing a deeply irritating flaw.
