Adding some general AVR/flashing info to wiki?

Is there an interest in having some general AVR and/or flashing information in the wiki? I discovered this thing on my hard drive that I wrote for someone who bricked their keyboard; it's relatively general info about flashing AVR chips, with keyboard people in mind. It's not really needed until a keyboard is bricked ;)

I was also thinking about also writing a page which collects pointers to various available firmwares, with maybe some instructions and general info. This may be already on the wiki somewhere, but I didn't spot it.

Ah and another page about ARM chips, since they seem to be popping up lately.

Anyway, opinions?

Yes, that would be great. There is a fair bit of info here and on Geekhack, but it is a bit scattered. Even on matt3o's thread — the main guide is a great resource, but you have to dig in the 13 pages to find more info on specific subjects (backlight for example).

r/MK has a page about keyboard firmwares, so why not doing something similar on the wiki.

We have this in our wiki right now:

If you decide to make major changes I'd like a short PM, but additions are always welcome.

Yes agreed, possibly in the guides section.

Think this would be really useful, I for one have been having to scour the internet for most of my info. Given the fact that people appear to be using alternatives/derivatives to the defacto Teensy 2.0 it would make sense to collate such info in one place.

Ouch, one must learn to read more thoroughly...

I wish I had seen this a few days ago, I wouldn't have needed to manually amend all the files to create my custom map, grrrr :)

Same thing happened to me also on a different subject, won't happen to you again. ;) The force is strong with the DT wiki.

yes, it is a great piece of information to have available.
I would have loved to find something like that when I had issues with my Leeku, luckily, a knowledgeable friend had a home-made avr programmer and he helped me.

Allright, that flashing info is now wikified. Feel free to edit.

The EasyAVR page is good, but what I meant to do is an "index" page which would point to EasyAVR as one of the options. I guess something like the /r/MK page; because every time someone asks about FaceW or GH60 (+clones) I end up searching the forums for the right thread/post.
I also want to add a table of PCBs vs features, since these kind of questions also pop up now and then (... can this PCB do this backlight/layout/firmware...)

Here's what I had in mind for that table. Also feel free to edit.
