...I’m surprised to see that it has a seperate dome for each key, though I suppose that would explain why it doesn’t feel crappy...

I don't see much of a difference of single domes vs a dome mat as far as the keyfeel is concerned. Instead I'm going to blame the "dome between sheets" type of build with the metal plate stabilizing the back and the seperate stem from top. imo this leads to a *crisper* touch of the domes in most cases.
The stem is the only thing they kept with the 6, so fossala no need to open yours:

Now someone needs to try to melt the type 6 controller onto the 5c for cheap PC use...

It's a Fujitsu made (you can tell by the N860-bla-bla), so the domes are at least decent.
