Hello,
i have just recently got a Nixdorf Keyboard from a friend.
It as a DIN connector and a switch on the back which has a paper label that says A and X.

I tried connecting it to a ps2 port via an adapter, but it apparently didn't work.
The lights for num, Abbuch and Groß come on when pressed, but i am not able to type anything.

The switches are Cherry black.

Here are some Pictures:

Can someone tell me something about that keyboard?
It feels quite good to type on that.

I looks like a Cherry G80-0xxx version (the layout is very similar to this: wiki/Cherry_G80-0528)

Generally, I'd have thought that an A/X switch would switch between AT and XT protocol, and the AT protocol is compatible with modern computers, provided you have an active adapter. The fact that you can't type anything on it might indicate that something is iffy with the controller.

I like those keyboards!

There is an AT/XT switch on the back, be sure that's on AT, otherwise it's normal that it doesn't output anything.

Oh, okay, i had it set to X, and it didn't work...
no wonder...

now it works, and i like it.
i think now i have to clean it a bit and then when the weather is nice i will do a retrobrite session with the keycaps.
