Re: Easy way of applying RO-59?

I once bag lubed my WANG's bamboo black sliders and housings with a ton of (expired) ro-59. Gave them a few days to dry, and ended up with the smoothest damn linearized alps I've ever had. Will it last? Who knows, I have been using it on and off for the past month or so and it is still super smooth ...

Re: Lubing Alps

If you're looking for a dry lube, try R0-59 ym KT. You can buy it at ringkeys if you're in the US, but seeing you're in argentina that's unfortunately not viable. Best dry lube I've seen for alps at this point, at least for linears. (Apply to both slider and housing)
Be careful using lubes on alps ...

And conversely, I've always used them. Yeah, in a lot of cases you probably don't need it, but if you do you'll be thankful and it will help keep things reliable for longer, I reckon.

Re: Beamspring space bar broken

Seconding ABS welding. This is how I fixed mine on my personal 3101. It's kinda a pain because I lost the broken piece and essentially had to add layer after layer of abs paste and shave and mould it into the right shape. Took a long time.... but it works!

Do I have enough? Yes.
Do I always find something new to catch my eye, forcing me to resist my urges to grow the collection further and sometimes fail that resistance?
Of course.
Do I have a bunch of boards I need to clean and sell? Very much so.
Do I put in the time to clean and sell them ...

Hi I currently run my Switchboard in the PS/2 Mode but I do have a spare cable for ADB if you have or can make a converter for that. No, it's not a blue cube. It's an active PS/2 to USB converter that I got alongside an IBM Model M that I bought from eBay. Here is a picture of the converter:

Your active ps/2 to usb adapter, would it happen to be a blue cube? Those have given me nothing but trouble on my northgates. To be honest, your best bet is probably to make a tmk adapter with the ibmpc_usb firmware (no longer recommending soarers due to a lack of support). It works perfectly on all ...
