I have never been able to understand the mentality of wasting my valuable time for no purpose other than to vex and irritate other people.

I suspect the spammers are people who have responded to "earn money working from home" adverts. They don't care about irritating you. It's not personal, it's ...

Thanks seebart, I didn't the Blade Runner piece before! At least Eurostile made an appearance. Unfortunately not much keyboard coverage compared to the Alien one. Although I vaguely remember the clacking of keys somewhere in the movie, excluding the piano of course. I may have to watch it again.

Alien | Typeset In The Future

As best I can make out, the spring wallops both against the side of the barrel but also against the underside of the keycap. See ...

Anyway, I'm all for damped tactile switches. If people want loud: go clicky.

The interesting thing is that i-Rocks have possibly broken with conventions by dampening their clicky switch. So clicky may not be so loud in this case!

This reminds me of some hybrid switches Chryos once produced by ...

The damped-by-default is a little odd-- if you're trading on the ALPS-style concept, people are probably most familiar with their old white-ALPS Omnikey or FK-2001, or maybe a black-ALPS AT101W. The only "big seller" damped switch was probably the one in the AEKI series. I hope I can pull out the ...

Looks way too big up top for many (or any!?) MX caps. Which would be disappointing, let's say! Mind, if the guys behind this have any clues, they won't let that be a problem. We need measurements of the appropriate areas or a hands on to settle this.

Even though the top of the switch housing that ...

This is the 21st century.

A modern approach to keycaps should be based around a fully modular keycap system.

This would allow the same keycap to be used on a variety of keyboard mounts through the use of adapters: Cherry MX, Alps, Topre, IBM.

This would guarantee keycaps are forward and backward ...
