I really don't know to be honest, it's obviously part of that BTX decoder and therefore not usable for anything else. Maybe I shouldn't post stuff like this here, it is interesting although not cheap at all. Looking at the keycaps it might be Cherry MX but I cannot tell from that picture. There is another picture in the auction from the back where you can see that it's got all kinds of custom keys.

It's most definitely Cherry MX, but I don't know which type. There should be a thread on one of them around, I will search for it when I find the time.

Looks like the white brother of this
board. In that case it will have mx black switches and caps are ABS DS.

telex board. Not sure what switches it has, but has a sweet metal backplate.

Yes, thanks BimboBB & photekq those two are the same, very old MX blacks accoring to sixty:
sixty wrote: All the date codes on the dips are late 1983 and early 1984. I assume the board was assembled in 1984. Probably one of the very first to use MX switches. They actually feel kinda different from normal vintage blacks, kinda heavier and more scratchy. I'll have to de-solder and compare some day.

No one needs to agree or not because we have facts on that one: Mitsumi hybrid switch.

It is a Cherry
phoneboard, a telephone/keyboard combo which is just fantastic in its simplicity and usability.
I wouldn’t call it overpriced (BIN price: 300€), as it is definitely a very rare collector’s item.
At least the price will probably prevent it from being sacrificed just for its vintage MX black switches

I'd call it very overpriced. It might be rare, but there's nothing unique about the keyboard or keycaps themselves to make it desirable to collectors like me. I wouldn't pay anything over the starting bid, and I'm well known for paying a bit too much for Cherry keyboards

Our disagreement is probably due to the fact that I have one and you don’t
Plus, of course, you kind of scorn any Cherry board which is not NIB

Nope, we want Siemens Nixdorf keyboards not Wincor Nixdorf.
