The Focus FK-5001 is the flagship of the Focus keyboards family and has got more keys than the IBM 122 key clones. It featured a computer-independant built-in desk calculator with LC-display. It has ALPS switches (white clicky in the shown sample), as usual with Focus keyboards.
Introduction
Features
The built-in desk calculator with LC-display is independant of the computer and is powered by a separate battery.
The key repeat rate can be set using the "Turbo" key in combination with the F-keys, e.g. Turbo+F1 sets it to 2 characters/second and Turbo+F12 gives 130 characters/second.
As usual, DIP-switches are underneath the logo plate (top left on the front cover).
Criticism
The layout is perfect, except for the big-ass Enter and the fact that the calculator buttons do not deliver scancodes.
Known Variants
At least US and DE layouts have bee sighted.
How to Disassemble
Screws and clips.
