The IBM SpaceSaver is a compact keyboard from IBM that is significantly smaller than even the IBM Space Saving Keyboard. It used the designation "Model M4".

A revised version, the "Model M4-1", featured a second generation TrackPoint device, becoming the first discrete TrackPoint-equipped keyboard from IBM. The keyboard assembly is a straight adaptation of the IBM PS/2 L40SX's integrated keyboard (ie, Model M3), except fitted with a TrackPoint II nipple, and uses the same tactile and non-mush buckling rubber sleeves switches as it and the L40SX's accompanying IBM Model M3 numeric keypad.[1]

Unicomp (and to a lesser extent Key Tronic) also produced M4s, with Unicomp continuing to market their version (called the Mighty Mouse, codenamed "Surf") until the late '00s.
