The keyboard was produced by Tandy Corporation for use with the Tandy 1200 HD personal computer. It was introduced in 1984. [1] The label on the rear cover indicates a model number of 25-3000 which is also the Tandy part number for the entire 1200 HD computer system. The keyboard is no longer in production.

OEM
This Tandy 1200 HD was manufactured for Tandy by Hi-Tek Corporation. It is a Tandy badged version of the Hi-Tek Series 725 first generation PC-84 keyboard.

Keycaps
The keycaps are made of PBT and the legends are dye sublimated . The keys are sculpted, i.e. each row has its own profile. For more information see Hi-Tek Series 725.
Layout
The layout consists of 84 keys and was modeled after the IBM XT layout. Differences from the XT layout include: horizontal 2U enter key, swapped left shift position, 2u numpad enter key and 1u numpad '+' key. Hi-Tek refers to this layout as PC-84
