Like many other Cherry keyboards, this keyboard doesn't have a plate. The PCB lies on the bottom case. There are two plastic pegs on the bottom case that go into the PCB, keeping it in place. There is a metallic sheet and a plastic sheet underneath the PCB. Despite being relatively light compared to comparable IBM keyboards at the time, the whole assembly is very stable. 8 screws are used to keep the keyboard together.

Previously, this keyboard was documented in the wiki under Cherry keyboards category as [[Cherry G80-0427]]. This is indeed a sufficient approach to document the keyboard, since Cherry, the manufacturer, identified the keyboard as G80-0427. However, another identical keyboard was found under the designation G80-0624, with virtually everything similar to the G80-0427. This prompted the need to document both keyboards as two variants of the same keyboard, hence this page.

The NCR H0150-STD1-10-17, or "That OG NCR XT keyboard" as Deskthority members called it, is a keyboard manufactured by Cherry Corp. for the NCR PC4/i computer system. The name can be easily mistaken for another NCR keyboard, the NCR H0150-STD1-01-17, since the difference is very slight. The NCR H0150-STD1-01-17 keyboard was part of the NCR Decision Mate system, which was the predecessor to NCR PC4 system.[1] Perhaps this led NCR to name these keyboards very closely.

NCR H0150-STD1-10-17 uses cherry MX black switches, 5 pin PCB mounted.

Keyboard construction

Like many other Cherry keyboards, this keyboard doesn't have a plate. The PCB lies on the bottom case. There are two plastic pegs on the bottom case that go into the PCB, keeping it in place. There is a metallic sheet and a plastic sheet underneath the PCB. Despite being relatively light compared to comparable IBM keyboards at the time, the whole assembly is very stable. 8 screws are used to keep the keyboard together.

G80-0427

Previously, this keyboard was documented in the wiki under Cherry keyboards category as Cherry G80-0427.

G80-0624

This is another variant of the NCR H0150-STD1-10-17.
